At present, social media is enraged over the brutal deaths of a father-son duo named Jayaraj (60) and Fenix (31) in Tamil Nadu's Sathankulam town in Thoothukudi. The horrific incident took place when the two were arrested for allegedly keeping their shop open for some time beyond the curfew rules. They, however, passed away within the ten hours of their police custody. It is being widely alleged that the cops, who arrested Jayaraj and Bennix, are also to be blamed for their torturous deaths. As a consequence of the same, the internet is buzzing with anger and demanding the strictest of punishments for the culprits.
Now, as per a report in The Wire, the Madras High Court has found Prima Facie evidence to book the accused cops in Jayaraj and Fenix's murder investigation. Reacting to the same, Bollywood actor Swara Bhasker has requested the government to book the accused cops for murder rape and torture. She replied, "Book them for murder, torture and rape!" to a tweet that read, "The Madurai bench of the Madras high court has ruled that prima facie evidence exists to book for murder the policemen who were allegedly involved in the custodial death of 62-year-old P. Jayaraj and his 32-year-old son J. Bennix."
In response to Swara's tweet, her followers slammed the actor for passing such judgment without any major evidence, while a section of people supported her stance.
